Margaret Mohr is a former commercial artist who has turned to fine art combined with calligraphy as a way of expressing her spiritual convictions. "The beauty we see in our world which nourishes our souls and bodies is not here by accident, but is a gift from a loving God," says Mohr. Her goal is to bless the viewer with a new perspective on something they might not ordinarily notice, and encourage them to appreciate and be thankful for it. Her luminous watercolors are valued for their colorful depictions of nature along with their uplifting messages.

A commercial Art major at Santa Monica City College, UCLA and Art Center College of Design, she began her career by inking Hanna-Barbera comics. In years following she designed bedding, toys and clothing for several large companies, and as a freelance florist created arrangements for hundreds of weddings.

She was the recipient of the 1999 Artist of the Year award from the City of Rolling Hills Estates, and in 2001 and 2009 was commissioned by the city of Palos Verdes Estates to do paintings for two publications.
